Announcements

The Z2 Coulter Counter has arrived. For more information, go to the instrumentation page.

The flow facility hours are changing for this fall semester. Starting Wednesday, September 3 until Dec 19, facility hours will be as follows:

M/W/F - 8:45-6pm, facility CLOSED from 10:45am-12pm
T/Th - 9-5pm

Please see the facility calendar for any additional changes or closings.

The LSRII was moved Tuesday July 8th, 2008 into a dedicated BSL3 facility and is no longer accessible. As previously mentioned, the current LSRII was not meant to be a permanent addition to the Flow Cytometry Core Facility. It was purchased for use in the new BSL3 facility, and we’ve been graciously allowed use of the instrument between its time of purchase and that move.

The FACS Oversight Committee has established discounted “new method” and “new lab” fees for researchers who are using methods new to the facility and for labs new to the university. For more information and rates, please see the “Rates and Policies” page of the website.

As of April 1, 2008, user fees for the FCCF have changed. Please see the Equipment page of our website to see the new fees for each instrument. The Oversight Committee for the Flow Cytometry Core Facility (FCCF) is implementing a gradual fee increase over the next three years, to be reviewed at the end of that time. This will hopefully allow the facility to become self-sustainable over time.

The COPAS Select Drosophila embryo and large particle sorter is now available. Please see the Equipment page of our website for more information.
